Meet Maserati’s all-new super sports car, the MC20. It is powered by a new twin-turbocharged, twin-combustion 3.0-liter V6 that produces a hefty 463 kW and 729 Nm and is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. That means it can sprint to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 323 km/h. The engine is developed inhouse at Maserati, employs F1 inspired technology to increase power and the car has best-in-class power-to-weight ratio allowing it to maximize performance.

    Looks and interior

Looks wise, butterfly doors are your party trick although Maserati has kept things elegant and tidy in terms of the design with striking LEDs, a black mesh grille and the large Trident badge in the middle. The back also follows the restrained look employing dual exhausts, a carbon diffuser and horizontal LED taillights.

The new Maserati MC20 comes in six new colours: Bianco Audace, Giallo Genio, Rosso Vincente, Blu Infinito, Nero Enigma, and Grigio Mistero.

The brand says due to the flexible architecture of the car, the car will require less development to convert into hybrid and all-electric form.

Inside is a mixture of carbon and an Alcantara with a digital display for the driver and 10.3 inch infotainment screen. Four driving modes are available Wet, GT, Sport, and Corsa. There is also a fifth mode that disables traction completely for some undiluted fun.

    Local availability

Local availability is yet to be announced although the car is priced from $210,000 in the US.
