BMW South Africa has introduced a new special edition for its locally built SAV – the BMW X3. Dubbed the Mzansi Edition, this special edition adds sportier features, which accentuates the athletic side of the BMW X3.

    Exterior

These features include an M Sport package with the M high-gloss Shadow Line that is evidenced by the blacked-out kidney grille and frame, M carbon wing mirror caps, red M Sport brake callipers, a sporty rear wing spoiler finished in high-gloss black, black chrome tail pipe accents, and a black high-gloss rear diffuser.

The BMW X3 Mzansi Edition is available in five colours and comes standard with a fully electrically operated tow hitch.

    Interior

Inside, the X3 Mzansi Edition features familiar but welcomed appointments, thanks to the standard M Sport package, panoramic glass sunroof, ambient lighting, BMW Live Cockpit Professional and wireless charging.

    Performance

Powering the X3 Mzansi Edition is a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine found in the standard BMW X3 xDrive20d model. It produces 140 kW and 400 Nm, and it’s paired to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission. BMW SA claims it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and has a top speed of 213 km/h.

    Pricing

The BMW X3 xDrive20d Mzansi Edition is priced at R1,005,900.
