One of Maserati’s most important nameplates is the GranTurismo. In recent months the Italian marque has been gradually pealing the camouflage off the new GranTurismo and their latest batch of images are the most revealing yet. In fact the camouflage has been completely ripped off leaving nothing but vinyls of the brand’s Tridente ‘devil’s fork’ emblems showing of its evolutionary design with a few design cues borrowed from the MC20.

The new Maserati GranTurismo has taken to the road ahead of its official reveal, in the Modena. A few lucky employees at Maserati are taking in the miles in the new Italian high-performance coupé. The model derivatives they’re piloting are the Trofeo versions which are fitted with the 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine which replaces the much-loved 4.7-litre V8.

Of course Maserati are tight-lipped on the power and torque figures as well as drivetrains etcetera. That said, we should expect it to fall somewhere in between 390kW and 463kW. We also expect it to be paired to the MC20 sourced 8-speed twin-clutch transmission.
