RS flavoured Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback revealed

Audi has taken covers off its new RSQ3 and RSQ3 SUVs. They are squarely aimed at those who want hot hatches with some ground clearance and SUV looks.

    Looks

Upfront, the RSQ3 and RSQ3 sport larger air-inlets in the corners and blade-shaped accents on each side. A large grille with gloss black will be hard to miss when the RSQ3 or RSQ3 come for you on the highway. Sitting some 10 millimeters lower than the standard Q3 and Q3, the cars show off a wider stance than the standard cars. Two oval shaped exhaust pipes, a gloss black roof spoiler and signature LED taillights dominate the back appearance.

The RSQ3 and RSQ3 are available in Kyalami Green and Nardo Grey exclusive colours. The contrasting gloss black accents can be optionally swapped for an aluminum finish.

    RS raw power

The RS3 and RS3 Sportback will be powered by Audi’s 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine with 294 kW and 480 Nm. The engine is paired with a seven-transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The 0-100 km sprint can be achieved in just 4,5 seconds before the car reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. Customers can have this hiked to 280 km/h as an optional extra. Stopping the car are standard six-piston brake calipers and steel rotors but these can be upgraded to ceramic discs with monoblock aluminum calipers. In addition, buyers can opt for an RS Sport exhaust with black tailpipe trim if they want a louder car. Vrrpha! Twenty-inch wheels are standard and can be upgraded to 21-inches at an extra cost.

Local availability is yet to be announced.
