    Updated Audi Q2 revealed

After four years of entering the fray of the crowded compact SUV market, the Audi Q2 has come a long way and the designers from Ingolstadt have now gifted it with an update.

    Exterior

The Audi Q2 is now looks even more youthful and progressive thanks to the motif of the polygon which has been applied all around the car. This is reflected in the body which has more character. Due to the elongated and sporty features, the Q2 has grown to 4.21 meters, while the width has expanded to 1.79 meters and the height moved up to 1.54 meters. At the front, the grille has sharper corners. There are also larger air inlets which appear more prominent. The rear compliments front well with its expressive design.

LED headlights and rear lights are now standard on Q2 with Matrix LED technology being an optional extra, we would advise that box be ticked when buying this vehicle. The matrix LEDs will illuminate the road clearly without blinding other road users. The reversing lights will come in two LED options, this would be with or without dynamic turn signal. If the Matrix LED headlights option has been ticked, the rear end will spot standard dynamic turn signal.

The compact SUV will be available with five more additional exterior colours. Apple green will be making its debut with Audi with the other new colours being Manhattan grey, turbo blue, arrow grey and Navarra blue. The C-Pillar blades will either painted in the colour of the vehicle or kept in black, grey and silver shades depending on the equipment line selected.

The Q2 will ride on 16-inch and 19-inch wheels from the bottom to the top of the range.

    Interior

Inside, the Q2 spots a new look for the air vents and the gear level knob. The materials have also been changed from Alcantara and will be replaced by the Dinamica microfiber material. Audi has bundled all upholstery and colours into eight packages, four of which are assigned to the basic interior, while the other four are assigned to the interior S line.

From a display and infotainment perspective, the Q2 will come with an analog instrument cluster and the MMI radio plus with DAB+ or the Audi virtual cockpit with a 12.3-inch diagonal and MMI navigation plus with an 8.3-inch display. The system is compatible with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. This optional extra can also be paired with a Bang & Olufen Sound System that packs 14 loudspeakers with an output of 705 watts.

    Safety

The standard safety packages will include some of these which is the lane departure and the Audi pre sense front system that observes things in front of the car to avoid accidents

meters (5.1 ft)) have remained the same. The drag coefficient of 0.31 (with sport suspension) is a top-of-the-range value in the segment.

    Engines

The Audi Q2 will be launched with a 1.5-litre TFSI four-cylinder engine with power outputs of 110kW and 250Nm. It will be rolled out with a standard the seven-speed S Tronic.

Further TDI and TFSI engines will be added before the end of the year in Europe.
