The all-new fourth generation Lexus LX has been unveiled with a newly reengineered body-on-frame platform, avant-garde style, luxurious cabin powerful yet fuel-efficient engine which replaces the V8.

    Exterior

Up front, the new Lexus LX boasts a large spindle grille with a three-dimensional shape comprised of seven sets of floating bars which create a seamless and frame-free structure. The spindle grille is flanked by headlights with L-shaped clearance lamps.

The side profile of the LX features a thick, horizontal torso running the entirety of the profile, blending through to the muscular rear wheel arches. For the first time ever on a Lexus, the LX comes fitted with a set of 22-inch wheels.
Its rear-end features a redesigned Lexus logo that was first seen on the new NX. It also features tail lights which combine an L-shape and a continuous axial flow from the front to the shoulders and then to the rear silhouette.

    Interior

Inside, the LX features 12.3 and 7-inch touchscreens. The upper 12.3-inch display shows navigation, audio controls and the Multi-Terrain Monitor during off-road driving while the lower 7-inch touch display shows the climate control screen and serves as a driving-support screen for Multi-Terrain Select.

    Lexus LX grades

The new LX will be available in standard, F Sport and Ultra Luxury grades. The F Sport LX gets a unique set of 22-inch forged aluminum wheels and improved interior styling. It also features uniquely tuned standard front and rear performance dampers, a Torsen LSD and a rear stabilizer.

The Lexus-first four-seat Ultra Luxury grade enhances the LX lineup with special attention paid to the rear passenger space and their experience. The front seat can move forward, and the seat reclining angle can be controlled up to 48 degrees with a maximum leg space of 1,100 mm.

    Safety

The new LX comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which brings a suite of key active safety features to the vehicle. For starters, the Pre-Collision System (PCS), which includes Frontal Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Pedestrian Detection and Bicyclist Detection, features an enhancement to the lens camera and millimeter-wave radar elements to expand the response range.

It also features All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/ SA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Intelligent High Beams and Road Sign Assist.

    Performance

Powering the new Lexus LX is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 making 305 kW / 650 Nm and it’s paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The new LX is equipped with a front high-mounted double wishbone suspension and a four-link axle-type suspension with rear lateral control arms to achieve both a high level of off-road driving performance and on-road handling stability

The all-new Lexus LX also features a Multi-Terrain Select system, which allows the driver to select from six modes – Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Deep Snow and Rock. In addition, the operating range of Multi-Terrain Select, which was previously limited to the low range (L4), has been extended to the high range (H4).
