2022 is set to be a busy year for Volkswagen South Africa. The automaker announced a number of passenger and commercial vehicles we should expect in the new year.

New Volkswagen models to expect in 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, Volkswagen SA plans on launching the popular Polo and Polo GTI facelifts followed by the all-new Caddy. The highly anticipated Golf 8 R and Tiguan R‘s local launches are planned for the second quarter. The facelifted Tiguan Allspace, all-new Taigo and updated T-Roc‘s launches are also planned for the second quarter.

Lastly the people’s brand plans on launching the new Polo sedan in the third quarter next year. The date of the world premiere and media launch dates of the all-new Amarok will be confirmed in the New Year.

Volkswagen SA adds, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the semi-conductor chip shortages, these timings may change.
