The raging bull stable has added a new member in the form of a new Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder. The rear-wheel driven bull that joins the already impressive Lamborghini Huracan line-up comprising of the Evo AWD Coupe, Evo AWD Convertible, and the Evo RWD Coupe.

    Power

Sending all its power to the rear-wheels, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 that is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and kicks out 449 kW and 560 Nm of torque. This allows the RWD Spyder to sprint to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 324 km/h. This is slightly slower compared to the Evo RWD Coupe which manages the same 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.3 before topping out at 325 km/h. This is probably a small price to pay with the ability to chop off the roof and access the symphonic sound of the naturally aspirated V10 engine.

    Looks

The Huracán Evo RWD Spyder comes with distinguishing front and rear features that clearly differentiate it from its Huracán Evo 4WD Spyder stablemate. Upfront there is a new front splitter and a new vertical fins within the larger, framed front air intakes. At the rear, the bumper comes in high gloss black and incorporates a new diffuser that is unique to the Huracán EVO RWD Spyder.

Putting on just under 90 kgs compared to the RWD Coupe which weighs about 1,421 kg, the 1,509 kg Evo RWD Spyder manages to save the weight by employing aluminum and carbon fiber in the chassis and roof construction. Front/rear weight distribution of 40/60, with double wishbone suspension with overlapped quadrilaterals and passive shock absorbers are said to provide optimised driver feedback.

The Evo RWD Spyder’s electrically operated soft top folds flat in just 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h. With soft top both up and down the driver can also electronically open the rear window, which functions as a windshield when up and highlights the V10 engine’s unique sound when down. The soft top covers come in a number of colours allowing owners a high degree of personalisation as they can mix and match their roof-tops to the Evo RWD Spyder’s extensive selection of paint colours.

The Evo RWD Spyder comes standard with ventilated and cross-drilled steel brakes that are fitted to 19” Kari rims with specially-developed Pirelli P Zero tyres, whilst 20” rims and carbon ceramic brakes are optional.

Inside, the layout is similar to the Evo RWD Coupe and also adopts an HMI 8.4-inch infotainment screen in the center console with Apple CarPlay connectivity.
