    Meet the refreshed Suzuki Ignis

The uniquely styled Suzuki Ignis first arrived in our shores in 2017 and became an instant hit. The compact “urban SUV” has been refreshed for 2020 and given a new look, and extra features.

    Exterior

Upfront, the S-emblem on the front grille is now flanked by four chromed square slots. On the GLX-model, the surrounding grille face also gets chrome accents. Below the new grille, the updated Ignis gets a new lower bumper, which now incorporates fog lights, on the GLX-specification, and a trapezoidal silver lower faux scuff plate.

As before, the GLX-models feature wrap-around daytime running lights with projector style LED headlamps.

To celebrate the Ignis’s refreshed look, Suzuki has added a number of new colours and colour combinations: Stargaze Blue Pearl Metallic with Black combination, and Lutecent Orange with Black Metallic. A choice of silver or blue cabin accents, depending on the exterior colour, and the option of new two-tone colour combinations are also on offer.

    Engine

There is no change under the hood with the K12M 1.2 litre petrol engine still doing duty. This engine delivers 61 kW of power and 113 Nm of torque and is paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an automated manual transmission on the GLX model.

    Pricing

    Suzuki Ignis MT                 R182,900

    Suzuki Ignis GLX MT        R204,900

    Suzuki Ignis ATM              R221,900

Prices include a 2-year / 30,000 km service plan and Suzuki’s promotional 5-year / 200,000 km mechanical warranty, which includes roadside assistance.
