Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition blasts into Mzansi

Land Rover South Africa has taken the Range Rover Sport SVR package to the next level with the new SVR Carbon Edition which gets extensive carbon fibre detailing outside.

    Exterior

The new Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition is immediately identifiable with visible carbon fibre in an exposed centre section of the bonnet, also featuring functional integrated cooling vents. Other changes upfront include a reprofiled front bumper to improve brake cooling, and carbon trim applied to the surrounds of the bumper vents, main grille, lower grille surrounds, side mirror covers, rear tailgate finisher and engine cover.

The SVR Edition rides on 22-inch alloy wheels finished in gloss black, together with body-coloured detailing at the rear and an SVR badge in place of the Land Rover oval complete the SVR Carbon Edition’s exterior package.

    Interior

Stepping inside, the SVR Carbon Edition-branded treadplates illuminate as doors open, and lightweight SVR Performance seats deliver a significant 30kg weight saving over the standard Range Rover Sport seat designs. The seats are finished in high-quality perforated windsor leather and both front and rear seats are heated as standard and feature embossed SVR logos in the headrests. The front performance seats also afford improved legroom in the rear thanks to their slim, supportive design.

Sound is taking care of by a 19-speaker Meridian Surround Sound System, which combines 825 watts, a dual-channel subwoofer and Trifield technology continues the high-performance theme with a thrilling audio experience for occupants in all five seats.

    Engine

Under the specially-finished bonnet is the most powerful engine in Land Rover’s history – a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 producing 423kW of power and 700Nm of torque. The Range Rover Sport SVR can move from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 283km/h.

    Price and availability

Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition is priced from R2,831,000. As with all Land Rovers, the Carbon Edition is offered with a standard Land Rover Care plan which offers a 100,000km warranty and servicing within in 5-year period, whichever comes first.

The Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition is available now for South African customers.

    Complimentary driver training

All new or Approved Pre-Owned Land Rover customers in South Africa also receive complimentary driver training at the state-of-the-art Experience Johannesburg facility in Lonehill, Johannesburg. The package is available to owners and a partner, and includes refreshments, lunch and adrenaline all free of charge.
