An additional V8 powerplant has been added to the F-Type coupe and convertible range.

    A new V8 powerplant

Dubbed P450, its supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine develops 331 kW and 580 Nm at 2,500rpm. Power is sent to the rear-wheels or optional all-wheel drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics via an 8-speed Quickshift transmission with full manual control using either the SportShift gear selector or the gearshift paddles.

The P450 has a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.6 seconds with both RWD and AWD powertrains. The ‘1+1’ sports car has a claimed top speed of 285 km/h.

The P450 and F-Type R models are equipped as standard with Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics system with Configurable Dynamics. Using electronically-controlled, continuously-variable dampers, Adaptive Dynamics optimises both low speed comfort and high speed control, while Configurable Dynamics enables the driver to tailor the settings for suspension stiffness, steering weight, throttle response and gearshifts.

    Exclusive styling and posh cabin

The R-Dynamic Black model features exclusive style 5039 five split-spoke 20-inch wheels with gloss black finish which are complimented by a choice of three metallic paints: Santorini Black, Eiger Grey or Firenze Red.

The driver-focused interior features rich, luxurious materials. Slimline Performance Seats feature 12-way adjustment and are trimmed in Windsor leather with a choice of Ebony with Light Oyster contrast stitching or, for a more sporting theme, Mars with Flame Red stitch. Details such as the beautifully crafted monogram stitch pattern, repeated in the door trim, are among the subtle refinements which make F-Type feel special.

    Availability and pricing

The Jaguar F-TYPE P450 and R-Dynamic Black P450 are planned for South African introduction in the second half of 2021 with pricing to be announced closer to the time.
