    After recently launching the Haval Jolion, Great Wall Motor’s luxury arm, Haval, has released details of the all-new compact crossover SUV –the Haval H6.

    Futuristic exterior design

    The exterior design of the new H6 is premium and futuristic thanks to a bold mesh grille slim LED matrix-type headlights and beautifully integrated tail lights with an illuminated light strip. The 4653mm long H6 comes fitted with 18-inch wheels as standard and 19-inch wheel are available on grades like the Super Luxury. Customers will have a choice of 7 exterior colours to choose from, including Ayers Grey, Hamilton white and Messiah Brown.

    Premium and simplistic interior

    Inside, the H6 looks similar to the Jolion. The interior is premium and minimalistic with the latest technology, and quality materials that are available in 4 different interior colours. The H6 features a configurable 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touch display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Super Luxury grades get a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and a head-up display screen, heated and cooled seats to name a few.  

    The new H6 has a best-in-class wheelbase of 2738 mm, 8-way adjustable driver seat (6-way for seat and 2-way for lumbar support) and 4-way adjustable front passenger seat as well as leather seats with maximum ergonomic efficiency. Luggage capacity of the H6 is 600 litres which can be extended by folding the 60:40 rear seats.

    Power and performance

    The H6 is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine which develops 150 kW and 320 Nm. The engine is paired to the automaker’s second generation 7-speed DCT. Haval claims an average fuel consumption of 7.4 litres/100 km. The H6 is fitted with a newly adopted McPherson strut independent front suspension and Multi-link independent rear suspension which largely improves handling capabilities while the centre of mass of the vehicle is lowered by 20 mm aiding the reduction of body roll.

    Safety and driver assistance systems

    Driver assistance systems and safety features include the latest 9.3 Gen ESP (electronic stability program), HD 360 Degree View Camera, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist, an All-round Blind Spot Monitoring system As well as Tire-pressure Monitoring System, 6 airbags, Automatic Collision Unlocking Function to name a few.

    Pricing

    There will be four derivatives in terms of spec and their pricing is listed below:

    HAVAL H6 2.0T 7DCT 2WD Premium R419,900;

    HAVAL H6 2.0T 7DCT 2WD Luxury R454,900;

    HAVAL H6 2.0T 7DCT 4WD Luxury R479,900; and

    HAVAL H6 2.0T 7DCT 4WD Super Luxury R514,900.

    The H6 pricing is inclusive of a 5 year or 100,000km warranty as well as a 5 year 60,000km service plan.
