The Swift was the people’s favorite car for the month of April as Suzuki sold 1 621 Swifts. This is Suzuki’s highest monthly total and the fourth month in a row that it has broken its overall sales record. With the pandemic having us in a stronghold, Suzuki has a steady flow of vehicle shipments. With the stellar month behind it, Suzuki is now firmly entrenched in third place in overall sales, trailing Toyota (including brands Lexus and Hino) and Volkswagen (including sales of Audi).

“In March, we welcomed the all-new Celerio, one of South Africa’s most affordable and fuel-efficient cars. It further strengthened our line-up of vehicles that are all designed and specified to offer the best specifications and performance for your hard-earned money, with Suzuki’s proven Japanese quality and durability,” says Henno Havenga, manager for auto dealer sales at Suzuki Auto South Africa.

Henno Havenga also says that all sales channels performed exceedingly well in April. The dealer network sold 2 855 units whilst fleet and rental division sold 839 units. Suzuki recently introduced the Jimny GL and will soon launch the Baleno which was announced in February. Suzuki says there are also some surprises in their wings that they can’t wait to share with their dealers and South Africans.
