Nissan South Africa has decided to add a little spice to their Magnite line-up with the addition of the Red Edition. Based on the popular Acentra trim, it gains red accents on the interior and exterior, along with additional features. On the outside it gets sporty red brake calipers, exclusive badges and graphics, and a chrome garnish on the tail door. The Magnite Red Edition is available exclusively in Onyx Black and Storm White.

    Inside

Inside, the Magnites cockpit is amplified by stylish red accents, a red-themed dashboard and LED scuff plates. Motorists can also enjoy wireless charging, which comes standard across the Magnite range. It also comes with an 8-inch touch-operated infotainment system which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

“The Magnite Red Edition harnesses Nissan’s racing pedigree to make a statement in South Africa’s crossover market. We wanted to manifest our customers’ passion for adventure and thrill in the design and ignite their passion for driving. We believe the Red Edition will accelerate the already robust demand for the Magnite, with an evolved offering for young, aspirational, and tech-savvy customers,” said Stefan Haasbroek, Marketing Director at Nissan Africa.

    Power plant

Powering the Nissan Magnite Red Edition is a 1.0-litre turbocharged powerplant which is available across the range and is coupled with either a CVT or manual transmission.

    Safety

In terms of safety, it gets ABS, EBD, Traction Control, Nissan’s Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, and cruise control.

    Pricing

Only 600 units of Magnite Red Edition will initially be available in South Africa from the 3rd of November 2022, with prices starting from R298 300.
