Mazda has taken the wraps off the third-generation CX-5, a bold evolution of the brand’s best-selling SUV. The all-new model features a more refined design, smarter technology, increased practicality, and a new 2.5-litre engine.

    Sportier, more confident exterior look

The all-new CX-5 retains the iconic shape of its predecessor but now wears Mazda’s evolved Kodo – Soul of Motion design language. Developed under the theme “Wearable Gear,” the SUV has a sportier stance, extended wheelbase, and new proportions that enhance both presence and practicality. Wider rear doors and updated styling give the CX-5 a modern yet rugged look, suited for both urban and off-road adventures.

    Minimalist, modern and spacious interior

Inside, Mazda has gone for a clean and minimalist layout with improved materials and usability. The wraparound dashboard design creates a driver-focused yet family-friendly cabin. Depending on the trim, the CX-5 offers up to a 15.6-inch centre display with Google built-in, a digital instrument cluster, and streamlined steering controls. Higher-spec models add a 12-speaker Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. Rear passengers benefit from a 40:20:40 split-folding bench and 61 litres of added cargo space.

Four trim levels will be available – Prime-Line, Centre-Line, Exclusive-Line, and Homura – each with unique upholstery and finishes, including tan or black leather and two-tone suede-like materials.

    Upgraded engine and chassis

Under the bonnet is a new 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv G petrol engine paired with Mazda’s 24V M Hybrid system and brake-by-wire technology. It delivers 141 PS (104 kW) and 238 Nm of torque, achieving 0–100 km/h in 10.5 seconds in front-wheel drive. Customers can also opt for all-wheel drive.

The updated chassis and suspension promise improved ride comfort and handling, while towing capacity has increased to 2,000 kg – making the new CX-5 more capable for active lifestyles.
