Mercedes-Benz has lifted the veil on the all-new CLA Shooting Brake – the second model in its next-generation CLA line-up and the brand’s first-ever fully electric estate car. It blends sporty proportions with everyday versatility, catering to lifestyle-oriented buyers who need space without sacrificing style or performance.

    Exterior

The all-new CLA Shooting Brake retains the sleek, shark-nose front of the CLA Saloon up to the B-pillar, and then morphs into a dynamic estate silhouette. Up front, a bold LED-illuminated grille featuring 142 chrome-look stars, along with optional Multi-beam LED headlights and a connecting light strip, creates a futuristic and unmistakable appearance.

At the rear, a sloping roof-line extends elegantly into a unique tailgate, adorned with star-shaped LED rear lights and another horizontal light bar. A standout feature is the large one-piece panoramic glass roof, optionally available with switchable transparency and ambient lighting that transforms it into a starry sky at night.

    Dimensions

The new CLA Shooting Brake is larger in every direction than its predecessor. It measures:

    Length: 4,723 mm (+35 mm)

    Height: 1,469 mm (+27 mm)

    Wheelbase: 2,790 mm (+61 mm)

These changes translate to better cabin space, increased practicality, and a more commanding presence.

    Interior

Inside, the cabin emphasizes luxury and space. The panoramic roof enhances the sense of openness, while optional tech allows users to shift the glass from transparent to opaque in milliseconds. Ambient lighting integration with 158 LED-illuminated stars elevates the in-cabin experience, especially at night.

Headroom and legroom have improved across both rows. Front occupants get an extra 14 mm of headroom and 11 mm of legroom, while rear passengers benefit from an additional 7 mm of headroom. The larger rear door openings also ease entry and exit.

    Practicality

The CLA Shooting Brake proves that electric vehicles can be practical. Boot space ranges from 455 litres to 1,290 litres with the rear seats folded in a 40:20:40 split. Up front, a 101-litre frunk adds more storage for cables or small items.

Standard features like an electric Easy-Pack tailgate and roof rails add to its everyday usability. With tow ratings of up to 1,800 kg (all-wheel drive), it can tow motorcycles, jet skis, or small trailers—making it one of the most capable electric estate cars available.

    Powertrains

Built on Mercedes-Benz’s EQ platform, the CLA Shooting Brake offers a WLTP range of up to 761 km, making it suitable for long trips and family getaways. Fast charging adds 310 km in just 10 minutes, thanks to Mercedes’ latest battery technology.

Rear-wheel and all-wheel drive variants will be offered, with the all-wheel drive versions capable of towing more. Official power outputs and drivetrain specifications will be announced closer to the European market launch in March 2026.
