Land Rover has added a new model to its high-performance line-up with the launch of the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon. This new version joins the existing Range Rover Sport SV and SV Black, bringing a strong focus on lightweight materials and exclusive detailing.

Set to make its global debut on 13 August during Monterey Car Week at Range Rover House, the SV Carbon stands out with optional carbon finishes, ultra-lightweight wheels, and a selection of bespoke colours.

    Exterior and design

The Range Rover Sport SV Carbon features a bold design that includes a Forged Carbon Exterior Pack, available Twill Exposed Carbon bonnet, and 23-inch forged alloy wheels. Clients can also opt for ultra-lightweight 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheels, which contribute to a total weight saving of up to 76kg. For improved braking performance, Carbon Ceramic Brakes with a choice of Blue, Yellow, Carbon Bronze or Black calipers are also available.

A curated paint palette includes four standard options, along with additional colours from the SV Premium Palette for added customisation.

    Interior features

Inside, the SV Carbon includes Forged Carbon Fibre-backed performance seats with integrated headrests and illuminated SV logos. Customers can choose from four interior themes: Ebony, Rosewood/Ebony, Light Cloud/Ebony, and a leather-free option in Cinder Grey/Ebony using sustainable Ultrafabrics™.

Other cabin highlights include a 14-inch infotainment display, 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, panoramic moonroof, and SV-specific interior trims like Moonlight Chrome detailing and illuminated treadplates.

    Engine and performance

Under the bonnet, the SV Carbon is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild hybrid engine producing 467kW and 750Nm. It features a carbon fibre engine cover and delivers a top speed of 290km/h.

The vehicle also comes with 6D Dynamics Suspension, using hydraulic interlinked air suspension for improved control during acceleration, cornering, and braking. The Body and Soul™ Seat (BASS) audio system adds an immersive listening experience by letting front seat occupants feel the sound through seat vibrations.

    Pricing

The Range Rover Sport SV Carbon is priced from R3,822,300.
