Audi RS 5 Sportback is here with a vicious look

About a year ago, Audi launched the current generation RS 5 in South Africa, however, that did not take long for the German manufacturer to announce the arrival of its new RS5 Sportback locally.

With a price tag of R1,312,000, the Sportback is five-seats big and boasts an interior that is finished in black and a 480 litre worth of boot space, if you think that is not enough, folding down the rear seats increases the capacity to 1,300 litres.

Underneath the hood lurks the familiar 2.9 TFSI V6 twin turbo engine with 331 kW and a maximum torque of 600 Nm, which is deployed throughout a wide speed range from 1,900 to 5,000 rpm.

That amount of power gets the 1,840 kg sedan from 0-100km/h in a healthy 3.9 seconds.

It also features Audi’s Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission.

Standard equipment includes LED headlights and LED rear lights, RS sports suspension, 20-inch aluminium forged alloy wheels, RS exhaust system, and Audi drive select dynamic handling system.

The RS 5 Sportback is already available at your local Audi dealer.
