Do you remember the automaker called Noble, no? Well, Noble is a British marque that builds high-performance sports cars like the M15 and M600 which are former Top Gear presenter, Richard Hammond’s, favourite cars and his chosen steed in one of Top Gear’s myriad of epic adventure episodes.

    Performance

Back in 2018 Noble unveiled a prototype sports car dubbed M500 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The M500 is slotted beneath the more powerful M600. Noble also revealed that they will outsource the M500’s engine from Ford – a twin-turbocharged 3.5 litre V6 engine found in the current Ford GT. In a exclusive interview with Autocar, Noble revealed that the the M500 will make around 550hp / 600lb ft which translates to 410kW / 810Nm. The Leicester based automaker also said the M500’s engine will be paired to a Graziano-sourced gated six-speed manual transmission only which should put a huge smile on car enthusiasts faces.

According to Autocar, Noble said the M500 is fitted with a double-wishbone suspension at each corner with coilover springs and passive dampers. There is hydraulically assisted power steering but no anti-lock brakes or airbags.

    Exterior and interior

The M500’s sleek carbon fibre bodywork looks stunning from the outside, however we couldn’t help but notice that the designers of M500 drew inspiration from a few popular performance cars. Inside, the M500 features Recaro Podium seats, three displays, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a gated transmission. We also noticed the exterior light knob was also sourced from Ford.

Noble also revealed to Autocar that the near production ready M500 is currently undergoing dynamic testing and customer deliveries are expected to begin later this year.
