Ford Australia recently announced a new grade for the new Ranger. The new grade is called ‘Platinum’ and it made its debut on the new Everest. The Platinum grade adds unique styling both inside and out as well as a host of standard features.

    Ranger Platinum exterior styling

Outside, the Ranger Platinum features a unique grille with accented mesh and silk chrome accents. Continuing the signature Ranger C-Clamp design, Platinum comes standard with Matrix LED headlamps and ‘PLATINUM’ badging on the hood, front doors and tailgate. As standard, the Ranger Platinum comes with a Flexible Rack system with a sliding load rack which is said to easily slide and lock into five positions along the tub, and in conjunction with the folding roof racks, lets you strap on items such as ladders or longboards with ease.

The Platinum is shod with 20-inch alloy, machine-faced wheels with ebony accents paired with All-Season Tyres. There will be a choice of six body paint colours, namely Equinox Bronze, Absolute Black, Sedona Orange, Aluminium, Arctic White and Meteor Grey.

Ranger Platinum interior styling and equipment

Inside, the Platinum grade features leather accented seats with a quilt design. It comes standard with driver and front passenger heated and ventilated seats with unique “Platinum” badging, along with a heated steering wheel.

Along with the state-of-the-art integrated 12-inch centre multi-function touchscreen, the Platinum comes with a configurable 12.4-inch digital cluster, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an auxiliary switch bank and a Bang and Olufsen premium audio system featuring 10 speakers.

Locally, the Ranger Wildtrak is most likely to remain the range topper, however we are confident that the Platinum grade will be introduced to our market in the future.
