    New Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé and 911 Carrera Cabriolet introduced

    Having recently launched the eight-generation 911 Carrera S and Carrera 4S, Porsche is introducing the ‘entry level’ 911 Carrera Coupe and 911 Carrera Cabriolet. As in the S or 4S, the interior will feature a 10.9-inch touchscreen display, comprehensive connectivity and innovative assistance systems, such as the Porsche Wet Mode that ensures even safer handling. The 911 Carrera is distinguished by smaller sized wheels, brakes and tailpipe covers on the exhaust system.

    The Coupe and Cabriolet are powers by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder boxer biturbo engine that is paired with a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) and generates power outputs of 283kW and 450Nm, which is 11kW more than its predecessor. This will see the 911 Carrera Coupe accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds and with achieve a top speed of 293 km/h whilst the Cabriolet will do a to speed of 291 km/h. If you tick the box on the optional Sport Chrono package, you will improve this sprint by 0.2 seconds. The claimed combined fuel consumption for the Coupe is 9.0 l\100 km, whilst that of the Cabriolet is 9.2l\100 km.

    The driving dynamics set-up includes 235/40 ZR tyres on 19-inch alloy wheels on the front axle. The mixed tyre configuration features 20-inch wheels with 295/35 ZR tyres at the rear. Stopping power is provided on both axles by 330-millimetre brake discs with black, four-piston monobloc fixed callipers.

    The new Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé and 911 Carrera Cabriolet are now available for order. Price details can be obtained at the nearest Porsche Centre.

    Local pricing for the new Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé and 911 Carrera Cabriolet models is yet to be revealed.
