After recently revealing teaser images of their new electric SUV, the Korean automaker has now fully unveiled their new EV6.

    ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy

The EV6 was designed under the automaker’s new design philosophy ‘Opposites United’, which takes inspiration from the contrasts found in nature and humanity. The design philosophy, which debuts on the EV6, will inform the design of all future Kia models.

Karim Habib, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Design Center said, “EV6, as the first dedicated Kia EV, is a showcase of human-centered, progressive design and electrified power. We strongly believe EV6 is a compelling and relevant model for the new EV market.”

Overall the EV6 exterior looks bold thanks to the new ‘Digital Tiger Face’, headlights and unique rear lights with sequential dynamic light pattern, contrasting cladding, slopping C-pillar, and a prominent roof spoiler.

    A modern and spacious interior

The EV6 is Kia’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV) and it’s based on the brand’s new Electric-Global Modular Platform, which offers increased space compared to previous Kia EVs based on existing model architecture. One of the first things people will notice inside is the multifunctional steering wheel with Kia’s new logo and a seamlessly integrated curved high-definition audio visual and navigation (AVN) screen with haptic buttons.

The contemporary seats in the EV6 are slim, lightweight and use robust fabrics created using recycled plastics.

    Performance

Detailed information on the EV6’s range and performance figures are yet to be released.
