Subaru Southern Africa introduces five-year maintenance cover

Subaru Southern Africa is giving new-car buyers a little more value with an extended maintenance plan that now comes standard across its range.

The change takes effect on 1 August 2026, with new Subaru models now receiving five years or 105 000 km of maintenance cover as standard, replacing the previous three-year/75 000 km plan.

That means Subaru owners now get an extra two years and 30 000 km of maintenance cover as part of the deal. The plan includes scheduled servicing, as well as a number of wear-and-tear items such as brake pads, wiper blades, key batteries and vehicle batteries.

Subaru’s five-year/150 000 km warranty remains unchanged and is still included with every new vehicle. For buyers looking for even longer cover, the maintenance plan can be extended by another two years and 45 000 km, taking the total cover to seven years or 150 000 km.

Nteo Nkoli, National Marketing Manager at Subaru Southern Africa, says the longer maintenance plan is aimed at giving customers more peace of mind. “Moving from three years/75 000 km to five years/105 000 km represents a meaningful enhancement to the value included with every new Subaru,” says Nkoli.

The new plan forms part of Subaru Southern Africa’s “Love our new standard” campaign and applies to the entire new Subaru range.

For buyers considering a Subaru, the extended maintenance cover means more of the routine ownership costs are taken care of for longer, making the overall package a little easier to live with.
