The much anticipated 2021 Simola Hillclimb will be taking place this weekend and Suzuki Auto South Africa will be participating in the motorsport event for the very first time with unique race cars powered by engines sourced from a few of the Japanese automaker’s motorcycles.

Suzuki’s team will comprise of three race car drivers, namely the well-known Franco Scribante, Megan Verlaque and Devin Robertson. Franco will be racing up the hill on Friday in his Chevron B26 powered by two Hayabusa engines while Megan will race her Suzuki GSX-R600 powered Speedcar Xtrem Racing Buggy with Suzuki MotoGP inspired livery and Devin will be racing his Suzuki Hayabusa powered Radical SR1 Clubsport on Sunday.

The automaker’s new Hayabusa will be raced up the hill during competitor breaks and will be piloted by AJ Venter, a well-known South African superbike racer and a contender in the Isle of Man TT.

We are looking forward to an epic weekend with some mean race cars. Check out our social media platforms for more on the event.
