Nothing says refreshed, like breathing in new excitement with new toys and a special edition. The Yamaha Monster will be the special edition, while things are kept fresh by adding new interiors, new colours, and new details for the Abarth 595 Turismo and Competizione hatch and cabriolet models.

Driving enjoyment is kept in check by a plethora of fun inducing standard features, such as a flat bottom steering wheel, an updated instrument panel, a pressure gauge that is now lit in white to ensure better legibility. LED daytime running lights and polyelliptical headlights are also fitted as standard.

Scorpion is what the ‘Sport’ mode has been renamed to throughout the new range. This aligns it with the Abarth logo, and it is recognition of the brands founder. Neat!

    Ins and outs

The refreshed interiors include an exclusive diamond embossed leather seats that are available in several colour options, including the classy heritage brown. A rally blue, matt colour inspired by the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally Car of the 1970’s has now been added as an option for upgrading the exterior of the Competizione palette.

    Engine

A 1.4 T-jet engine, available in two output levels is now available. The 595 Turismo features 121kW, while the 595 Competizione gets a power increase to 132kW. All variants are paired with a 6-Speed manual transmission and can be optionally fitted and an Abarth robotised sequential transmission with shift paddles.

    Infotainment

Infotainment is the standard Uconnect system with 7-inch high-definition touchscreen radio and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

    Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha

The new Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha special series is designed especially for young customers and motorsport fans, making it exclusive and with a young fresh exterior. Inspired by the 2020 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s YZR-M1, the exterior features a dual colour blue and black livery bearing the “Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP” logos. The dark colours are contrasted with the “tar cold gray” finishes, as seen in the door handles and the front and rear DAM.

Inside, the model features the special new Abarth sports seats with blue finishes and the “Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP” logo on the head restraints. The blue lining stands out from the black dashboard.

The Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha is equipped with a 1.4 T-jet engine with Euro6B homologation, with manual transmission, but it can also be fitted with the Abarth robotized sequential transmission with shift paddles on demand – delivering 160 HP (117 kW).
