Making its debut at the Geneva Motor show 2019, Lamborghini unveiled the new Aventador SVJ Roadster that packs a thrusty V12 engine.

Although convertibles are heavier than cars with a normal roof, the Aventador accelerates from 0-100km/h at an impressive 2.9 seconds (one tenth slower compared to the coupe) and top speed is reached at 350km/h. The Aventador’s maximum speed is complemented by a braking distance of 100km/h to 0 in 31 meters.

The Aventador SVJ makes use of a V12 engine that produces 566 kW at 8 500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque at 6 750 rpm.

Following in the footsteps of its coupe counterpart, it does look good and should appeal more to those who put performance and style first.

Lamborghini says it will produce only 800 units and details and plans to bring it to South Africa are sketchy but we are keeping our fingers crossed that it comes.
