Porsche has taken covers off the 718 Boxster and Cayman GTS 4.0 which employ a 4.0-liter flat-six engine that pushes out 294 kW of power and 419 Nm of torque.

    Performance

The 4.0-litre engine in the new 718 GTS 4.0 will allow it to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4,3 seconds. Other than being brisk, the models offer buyers performance enhancements such as Porsche Torque Vectoring with a mechanical limited-slip differential, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system which drops the ride height by 20 millimeters (optionally, the PASM sports suspension lowers the body by just 10 millimetres), front brakes that measure 350 millimeters and back brakes that measure 330 millimeters. Ceramic-composite brake discs are also an option.

    Looks

The exterior looks have been enhanced by dark contrasting details. They have been applied to the spoiler lip, air intake of the Sport Design front apron, the front fog light lenses, the rear light lenses and the redesigned lower rear bumper. The exterior look is finished by 20 inch wheels.

Inside, dark Alcantara has been used for the centre panels of the standard Sport Seats Plus, as well as the steering wheel rim, centre console, gear lever and armrests on both doors. In the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, it also covers the A-pillars and the roof lining. The optional GTS interior package offers the addition of another colour with the choice between Carmine Red or Chalk which accentuate the rev counter, seat belts, all decorative seams including the embroidered GTS emblem in the headrests and the Porsche lettering on the floor mats with black borders. The trim elements as well as the centre console trim are made of carbon.

    Local availability

These models are available immediately in Europe. Local availability is yet to be confirmed.
