Audi Concept C ushers in a new design era for the ‘four rings’

Audi has pulled the wraps off the striking Audi Concept C – an all-electric, two-seat sports car that not only previews the brand’s future but also embodies a brand-new design philosophy. With radical simplicity at its core, Concept C shows us what the future of Audi design will look like: purer, sharper, and emotionally engaging.

Exterior – radical simplicity meets strong heritage

The Concept C’s exterior is defined by clean, precise surfaces that exude strength and athletic minimalism. At the front, a newly interpreted vertical frame grille, aka Charlie Chaplin’s mustache, becomes the centerpiece of Audi’s future design language. Inspired by legends like the Auto Union Type C (1936) and the third-gen Audi A6 (2004), it blends presence with forward-looking tech and proudly displays the iconic four rings.

Another standout is the new four-element light signature in both the headlights and taillights – a design cue that Audi says will become its unmistakable lighting identity moving forward.

In profile, the two-seater’s proportions are the result of a central-battery layout. The cabin is pushed back and integrated firmly into the body, giving it a planted stance. For the first time in an Audi roadster, there’s an electrically retractable hardtop with two roof elements. This allows the Concept C to maintain its monolithic coupe-like silhouette while still offering an open-top driving experience. At the rear, horizontal slats and clean surfaces underline its sporty character.

Wrapped in a sophisticated Titanium paint finish, the Concept C balances elegance, strength, and precision – true to the material it takes inspiration from.

Interior – crafted minimalism and precision

Step inside and you’re welcomed by a cabin that’s as architecturally bold as it is refined. The design places the driver subtly at the center without compromising comfort for the passenger. Strong surfaces and geometric forms are softened by natural tones and titanium-inspired color harmony.

Audi has carefully chosen materials that radiate quality – from anodized aluminum controls with the satisfying “Audi click,” to natural textures enhanced by warm ambient lighting. The steering wheel, with its round shape, precision haptic elements, and real-metal Audi rings at the core, is a tactile highlight that showcases the brand’s obsession with detail.

shy tech – intelligent yet discreet

Audi’s “shy tech” philosophy takes center stage here. Technology is seamlessly integrated – always accessible, never intrusive. A 10.4-inch foldable center display adapts to every situation, while haptic controls on the steering wheel and console offer clarity and intuitive operation. Everything is exactly where you’d expect it, reinforcing Audi’s promise of precision.

    The future of Audi design

The Audi Concept C isn’t just a showpiece – it’s a trailblazer. It embodies the four rings’ next chapter: a perfect blend of clarity, technical sophistication, intelligence, and emotion. Audi confirms that this striking sports car previews a future production model, while also shaping the design DNA of upcoming models.

With the Concept C, Audi isn’t just unveiling a car – it’s revealing the brand’s future identity.
