Mini has revealed the updated Mini John Cooper Works Countryman with revised interior and exterior looks. Power stays the same and the refreshed Mini John Cooper Works Countryman will continue to make 225 kW and 450 Nm from its 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This will allow the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5,1 seconds. As before, the power goes to all four-wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and Mini’s ALL4 all-wheel drive. As an option, the refreshed Mini John Cooper Works Countryman can be equipped with an adaptive suspension.

    The changes

The standard LED headlights and the rear lights have been newly designed. At the back, the Union Jack light design is adopted. The Adaptive LED headlamps with variable light distribution and matrix function for the high beam lights are optionally available.

New optional colours are added, they are White Silver metallic and Sage Green metallic. A Piano Black Exterior package comes with headlamp surrounds, rear lights and radiator grille, door handles and the model lettering on the luggage compartment, all finished in high-gloss black instead of chrome.

The interior also features new accents. A 5.0 inch digital instrument is introduced as an option and so is an optional 8.8-inch colour touchscreen infotainment. The latter is said to feature a bezel and touch-sensitive control panels with high-gloss Piano Black surfaces. A SIM card installed as standard means the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman is “always online.”

The updated Mini John Cooper Works Countryman is expected to arrive locally from the fourth quarter of 2020.
