Jaguar has taken covers off its new XF R-Dynamic Black models. Developed from the XF R-Dynamic S, these model benefits from a number of key interior and exterior features.

    Exterior

The XF’s Black Pack includes Gloss Black finish applied to the door mirror caps and side sills in addition to the grille, grille surround, side window surrounds, fender vents and rear badges. There’s also privacy glass and a panoramic roof, red brake calipers and 19-inch Gloss Black wheels in ‘Style 5106’.

The XF R-Dynamic Black is available in the full range of colours.

    Interior

The luxurious interior benefits from Satin Charcoal Ash veneers, bright metal pedals and a Premium Cabin Lighting feature which offers a choice of 30 colours in place of the previous 10.

The Pivi Pro infotainment system is enhanced and in the XF it already has a range of embedded apps, including Spotify, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Later in the year, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will become available to customers in a software-over-the-air (SOTA) update.

Pivi Pro can also connect two phones simultaneously via Bluetooth, and the optional wireless device charging pad has a signal booster to improve network reception. The system also provides clearer calls with the help of the vehicle’s external aerial.

The XF offers a cabin air ionisation system with PM2.5 filtration to capture ultrafine airborne particles and allergens.

    Power

In South Africa the R-Dynamic Black model, like all XF models, is powered by a choice of two 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. Both engines are matched exclusively to smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmissions with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics.

The 147kW D200 diesel engine develops 430Nm of torque. This engine is the most efficient in the model range and enables the rear-wheel drive XF to deliver claimed fuel consumption that is as low as 4.9l/100k. The petrol P250 engine delivers 184kW of power and 365Nm of torque. This enables the petrol powered the XF to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 250km/h.

    Pricing

Jaguar XF R-Dynamic Black models are priced as follows:

    • Jaguar XF R-Dynamic Black D200    R1,122,000; and
    • Jaguar XF R-Dynamic Black P250     R1,118,600

Prices include a standard 5-year/100,000km Jaguar Care Plan and warranty.
