There was no better way for us to celebrate Heritage Month than to take part in the 5-day, 1300km-long Ubuntu Adventure, using the capable Mitsubishi Xpander and Eclipse Cross vehicles as our cultural guides.

Starting in Johannesburg’s heritage rich Maboneng, stopping at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site in Howick, admiring the Howick Falls and being immersed in the history of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum in Pietermaritzburg was both an epic and educational adventure.

We had a quick pit stop at the new CMH Mitsubishi dealership in Ballito, where we sat down with the manufacturer’s only black Dealer Principal, Nathi Mhlongo. He showed us what a new-age lifestyle dealership looks like, including a barbershop, eatery, nail and beauty salon. Of course, you can buy the latest Mitsubishi vehicles, as well!

As the Xpander and Eclipse Cross made light work of KZN’s city and gravel roads, their heritage of comfort, efficiency and striking looks shone through.
