The 2023 Volkswagen Amarok Aventura is a noteworthy addition to the bakkie segment, offering a blend of powerful performance, premium interior features, and advanced technology.

    The good

On the positive side, the Amarok Aventura stands out for its robust engine, delivering strong performance in various driving conditions. The interior is crafted with high-quality materials, featuring plush seats and a modern design that contributes to a comfortable driving experience. Volkswagen has incorporated the latest in-car technology, providing an intuitive infotainment system with smartphone integration and advanced safety features.

Driving dynamics are what you can call a smooth and composed ride on paved roads, with responsive steering that provides a good sense of control. Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the Amarok Aventura’s capabilities, as it excels in challenging terrains with its four-motion-drive system and specialized off-road driving modes. The cabin is spacious, ensuring ample legroom and headroom for both the driver and passengers during long journeys or off-road adventures with the family.

    The not so good

That said, the Amarok Aventura does come with some drawbacks. Its limited high price as mentioned in our earlier Instagram captions may restrict potential buyers from experiencing this impressive model. Additionally, the fuel efficiency of the vehicle might not be the best in its class, which could be a consideration for those prioritizing fuel economy.

However, one doesn’t particularly aim for a V6 and hope for a frugal engine. It is however, fairly impressive for a V6 as we averaged around 9.5l/100km. The infotainment system, while feature-rich, may have a steeper learning curve compared to simpler systems in other vehicles from the VW stablemate as we know that this has been extrapolated from the car it is based on.

    Verdict

In conclusion, the new Amarok Aventura presents a compelling option in its segment. Its powerful performance, premium interior, and advanced technology make it a strong contender. The Aventura’s off-road capabilities and overall driving dynamics further solidify its position as a noteworthy choice for those seeking a versatile and capable in a package that is stunningly executed.
