In a recent LinkedIn Post, Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO at Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A, announced that the successor of the Huracan model will ditch the much-loved 5.2-litre V10 powerplant for a hybridised twin-turbocharged V8.

Code-named ‘634’ by Lamborghini, the Huracan’s plug-in hybrid replacement will develop more that 900CV (661kW) thanks to the twin-turbo V8 engine which has been combined with a hybrid system incorporating three electric motors, making it at least 212kW more powerful than the outgoing Huracan Evo RWD. The final power and torque figures, as well as other technical details will be shared in August.
