Audi has unveiled it’s refreshed line-up of its e-tron GT series including its most powerful model ever, dubbed the e-tron GT Performance.

    Exterior

Design-wise, the Audi S e-tron GT sports a fully closed, inverted Singleframe grille and a more pronounced front apron, and the rear end is dominated by an aerodynamic diffuser. On the other hand, the RS e-tron GT boasts a more radical front design, with a 3D honeycomb structure and motorsport-inspired rear elements. The RS e-tron GT performance features unique design elements like a matte carbon roof and carbon camouflage details. The colour palette includes nine exterior finishes, with exclusive colours for certain models. Audi has also reworked the wheel range which includes a new multi-spoke and six-twin-spoke wheels.

Inside, the e-tron GT models feature redesigned seats, steering wheel, and entry sills, with sustainable materials like Dinamica and Cascade fabric used throughout. The RS models offer additional luxury with optional massage functions and exclusive design packages. Audi is also committed to sustainability which is evident in the use of recycled materials for the seats, steering wheel, and other interior components.

    Interior

The new e-tron GT models are equipped with a more efficient and powerful electric drive system. The S e-tron GT has an output of 500 kW, while the RS models boast up to 680 kW. Both these models offer impressive acceleration, with the RS e-tron GT performance reaching 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds. Audi also says it has enhanced its braking systems, it now lighter components, and optimized electronics contribute to improved driving performance and handling.

Audi has also improved the charging capabilities of the e-tron GT family. The high-voltage battery can now charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, providing a range of up to 280 kilometres in 10 minutes under ideal conditions. The new models also feature an advanced thermal management system, ensuring optimal battery performance even in low temperatures. Audi’s virtual cockpit plus offers comprehensive information about the battery’s status, making it easier for drivers to manage charging and energy use.

Audi SA is yet to announce when the e-tron will make it to SA shores.
