    Tata Curvv lands in South Africa with three derivatives

    Tata Motors has added the Curvv to its South African line-up, introducing a futuristic SUV-coupé designed to stand out with bold styling, advanced technology and a strong focus on safety.

    Design and dimensions

    The Curvv blends SUV practicality with a coupé-inspired silhouette. It features slim LED headlamps, sequential daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles with welcome lighting and a dual-tone roof. The SUV measures 4 308 mm in length, 1 810 mm in width and 1 635 mm in height, with a ground clearance of 208 mm.

    Interior and technology

    Inside, the Curvv is fitted with either a seven-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A digital instrument cluster, mood lighting and wireless smartphone charging are also included, while higher trims add a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof and JBL nine-speaker audio system with subwoofer.

    Passenger comfort is enhanced by ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver seat, reclining rear seats, an armrest with cupholders, and an air purifier with AQI display. The SUV seats five and provides 500 litres of luggage space, expandable via 60:40 split-folding rear seats.

    Engine and performance

    The Curvv is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine producing 88 kW and 170 Nm. It is available with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCA dual-clutch automatic. Driving modes, paddle shifters and an electronic gear selector add to its modern driving setup.

    Safety

    Built on Tata’s ATLAS (Adaptive Tech-Forward Lifestyle Architecture) platform, the Curvv is engineered for strength and crash protection. It is equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program, a 360-degree camera and parking sensors. The model carries a five-star Bharat NCAP rating.

    Trim levels and pricing

    The Curvv is offered in three derivatives:

    Curvv 1.2T Pure + MT – R349 900

    Curvv 1.2T Creative DCA – R419 900

    Curvv 1.2T Accomplished S DCA – R519 900

    All versions include a three-year/45 000 km service plan and a five-year/125 000 km warranty.
