    Tata Motors has introduced the Harrier, a new premium SUV built on the Omega Arc platform, which is derived from the Land Rover D8 platform. The Harrier arrives with a five-star Global NCAP safety rating, making it the safest vehicle in India.

    Engine and performance

    Power comes from a 2.0-litre Kryotec turbodiesel engine delivering 125 kW and 350 Nm, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Paddle shifters are included for manual control, while fuel consumption is listed at 6.6 L/100 km.

    Design and dimensions

    The Harrier measures 4 605 mm in length, 2 131 mm in width and 1 718 mm in height. Its exterior features LED projector headlamps with sequential indicators, connected LED tail lamps, a dual-tone roof, roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels.

    Interior and technology

    Inside, the Harrier is fitted with either a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster sits ahead of the driver, while a 360-degree surround view system provides added visibility. Other features include a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, ventilated front seats, dual zone automatic air conditioning, wireless charging and multiple USB-C charging ports.

    The SUV seats five and offers 445 litres of luggage space, which expands to 815 litres with the rear seats folded.

    Safety and driver assistance

    Safety equipment includes ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program, up to seven airbags, and Corner Stability Control. Driver assistance systems available on higher trims include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning.

    Trim levels and pricing

    The Harrier is offered in three derivatives:

    • Harrier 2.0TD Pure + AT – R549 900

    • Harrier 2.0TD Adventure + A AT – R649 900

    • Harrier 2.0TD Fearless + AT – R699 900

    All models are sold with a five-year/75 000 km service plan and a five-year/125 000 km warranty.
