The ISUZU MU-X 1.9 LS 4×4 is aimed at drivers who want a practical family SUV during the week and a capable adventure vehicle at the weekend.

At the heart of the MU-X is a 1.9-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 110 kW and 350 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, giving the SUV a smooth and efficient driving experience for both city commuting and longer road trips.

While it is well suited to everyday driving, the MU-X is also designed to handle more challenging terrain. Its selectable four-wheel-drive system, rear differential lock, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control help provide greater confidence when driving on gravel, mud, steep slopes and uneven surfaces.

The SUV offers 235 mm of ground clearance and an 800 mm wading depth, making it capable of venturing beyond paved roads when the journey demands it.

Inside, the MU-X features a spacious seven-seat cabin designed with families in mind. The interior includes partial leather trim, power-adjustable front seats and flexible seating arrangements in the second and third rows.

A nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system provides access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. USB charging ports for front and rear passengers further add to the vehicle’s practicality.

Safety features include ABS, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and seven airbags.

    Owners also get a five-year/120 000 km warranty with roadside assistance, a six-year/90 000 km service plan and a five-year unlimited-kilometre anti-corrosion warranty.
