Mahindra has revealed its new Global Pik Up, which will arrive in India as the Scorpio Lifestyler by April 2027. Outside India, it will be sold as the Mahindra Lifestyler.

The bakkie was first shown as a concept in Cape Town in 2023. Since then, it has been designed in Mumbai and developed in Chennai, with Mahindra preparing it for markets around the world.

The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to compete in the midsize bakkie segment and is aimed at drivers who want a vehicle capable of handling work during the week and weekend trips away. Mahindra says it will combine the load-carrying ability of a bakkie with the comfort, technology and road presence buyers expect from an SUV.

Three versions were shown at the reveal. The Valley Edition is the more refined option, finished in Artemis Grey and aimed at buyers looking to balance work and leisure.

The Reef Edition comes in an ocean-inspired Aquareef colour and leans into the outdoor lifestyle theme. The Trail Edition, finished in Sahara Beige, is the most rugged-looking of the three and is designed to highlight the vehicle’s off-road potential.

Mahindra plans to sell the Lifestyler in several overseas markets, including South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, as well as parts of Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
