In response to the intensified competition within the double-cab bakkie market, JAC Motors South Africa has introduced the T8 2.0L CTi 4×2 Lux model, priced at R399,900. Since its inception in 2017 with just ten dealerships and the introduction of the X200 2.8L TDI 1.5-tonne forward-cab bakkie, JAC Motors South Africa has rapidly expanded its product offerings and dealer network currently boasting over 70 dealerships across Southern Africa.

    Styling

Outside, the T8 features chrome-plated honeycomb grille, Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also features black wheel arches and running boards.

    Interior

Inside the T8 Lux model, comfort and convenience take center stage. Leather seats, cruise control, and a user-friendly 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity enhance the driving experience, making every journey enjoyable and effortless.

    Engine

Under the hood, the T8 is powered by a responsive 2.0-litre common-rail turbo-diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. JAC claims that the T8 delivers an impressive balance of performance and fuel efficiency, with an average consumption of 7.8 L/100 km for the 4×2 derivative.

    Safety

Safety features on the T8 includes airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, and a reverse camera to mention a few.

The T8 line-up’s retail prices includes a standard 5-year/100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty, and a 5-year/100,000 km service plan.
