Chery South Africa’s fairly new Tiggo Cross now has a hybrid derivative which makes use of the automaker’s CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) technology. This hybrid technology promises improved fuel economy and much better fuel range. The hybrid version also sports model-specific exterior and interior styling and equipment.

That said, here are 5 fast facts of the Tiggo Cross HEV:

    1. Hybrid performance

The Tiggo Cross HEV pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a dedicated hybrid system developing a combined output of 150 kW and 310 Nm.

    2. Reduced fuel consumption

Fuel consumption is rated at a claimed 5.4L/100 km in mixed conditions , helping you go further between fill-ups.

    3. Model-specific exterior and interior styling

A bold front grille, LED lighting, and sleek styling give the Tiggo Cross HEV a confident presence. Inside, the cabin combines sporty touches with premium finishes, creating an upscale atmosphere that punches above its price.

    4. Two feature-rich derivatives

The Tiggo Cross HEV is available in Comfort and Elite trim levels. Both come with strong standard specification, with the Elite adding high-end extras like a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.

    5. Standard advanced safety features

Both models come with a comprehensive list of safety features, including electronic stability control. The Comfort offers six airbags, while the Elite adds a seventh, along with advanced driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, and a 360-degree camera.

    Pricing and warranty

Tiggo Cross HEV Comfort – R439,900

Tiggo Cross HEV Elite – R469,900

Every Tiggo Cross HEV is backed by a five-year/150,000 km warranty, a 10-year/one-million km engine warranty, and a five-year/60,000 km service plan, providing peace of mind and long-term value.
