    Lighter, more agile Audi RS 4 lands in SA

    Following the recent appearance of Audi’s RS 5 in SA, the manufacturer has also announced the arrival of the RS 4 Avant packing a 2.9 V6 TFSI engine with 331 kW and 600 Nm of torque.

    Weighing just 1.790 kg, the new RS Avant is 80 kg lighter than before. 

    On the outside, it is the RS we know with features like solid air intakes, honeycomb structure, wide, flat single-frame grille.

    Audi says the RS 4 Avant’s wheel housings have been widened by 30 mm compared to the A4 Avant that is not available for our market.

    The rear boasts an RS-specific diffuser insert and oval tailpipes roof spoiler.

    Power is at 331 kW and 600 Nm – 170 Nm more than the previous model. A trip from 0-100km/h is completed in 4.1 seconds and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. If you think that is not enough, you can opt for the RS dynamic package that increases the top speed to 280 km/h.

    The Audi RS 4 Avant is priced at R1,211,500 and comes standard with the five year/100 000km.
