Nissan has revealed an-all new SUV dubbed the Magnite. The Indian made SUV sets itself apart with an edgy grille featuring Nissan’s new brand logo and LED front lights with L-shaped daytime running.

The side features flared wheel arches with plastic cladding. The latter is also found on the doors sills.  Other prominent exterior features include silver front and rear bumper skid plates, and functional roof rails.

The Nissan Magnite features 205 millimeters of ground clearance.

    Interior

On the inside, Nissan says, the spacious layout includes a high seating position and wide shoulder space between the driver and front passenger. An 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto joins the first-in-class 7-inch thin-film-transistor instrument cluster with tyre pressure monitor. Other goodies on offer include a wireless charger, air purifier, puddle lamps, ambient mood lighting and JBL premium speakers powered by Harman.

    Power and safety

The Nissan Magnite is powered by an all-new 1.0-liter turbocharged engine. The power figures are yet to be confirmed. Transmission options include a manual 5-speed and an X-Tronic CVT transmission. Dual airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, Hill Start Assist technology and Nissan’s 360-degree Around View Monitor technology enhances safety.

    Local availability

The Nissan Magnite is set for a local introduction in March 2021.
