Suzuki has launched their second-generation Baleno in India today. Since its launch in 2015, Suzuki has sold over 1 million of these subcompact hatchbacks. The Baleno is also sold in some African countries, including Mzansi, as the Toyota Starlet thanks to its joint venture between Suzuki and Toyota.

    Exterior

The 2022 Suzuki Baleno now features the brand’s new design language called Crafted Futurism. From what we can see in the images, it features new front and rear bumpers, new headlights and taillights, and newly designed wheels.

    Interior

The changes also make their way into the cabin. You’ll find a new flat-bottom steering wheel, auto-climate control, 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ Infotainment System, auto climate control, plush dual-tone interior and auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

    Safety and tech

In terms of safety, it features parking sensors, ESP and hill assist, ABS with EBD, 6 airbags and highspeed alert system. When it comes to tech it gets a 360-degree camera with 6 different views and a heads-up display with key information such as speed, RPM, and fuel economy.

In terms of engines, we’ll have to wait for more information from Suzuki South Africa.
