GWM South Africa is expanding the P-Series range with the addition of the new LTD 4×4. It  slots itself above the LS and LT models in the P Series Passenger Double Cab range and caters to the needs of customers who want a P-Series with off-road bits and bobs.

    P-Series LTD exterior

The LTD is set apart from the rest with 18-inch Gloss Black Sports Alloy rims with all-terrain tyres, body colour-coded door handles and mirrors, along with a Black Sport Bar, plastic bedliner, off-road steel front, and rear bumpers and more assertive off-road wheel arches.

Other functional and model-specific features providing the LTD include a black roof rail, a specifically developed snorkel, a front winch that can pull up to 4,2 tonnes and 12-Volt accessory connector in the engine bay and 120Watt 220V located next to the rear USB port.

For extra security, the LTD has an engine immobiliser system. In terms of in-car entertainment and connectivity, the LTD features a 7-inch LCD digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch multi-media touchscreen offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth capability as well as wireless phone charging. It also gets 2 USB ports in the front and 1 for the passengers.

    P-Series LTD performance

The top-of-the-range LTD from the other models in the P-Series range, is GWM’s newly developed four-wheel drive system. While other variants are equipped with a torque-on-demand (TOD) four-wheel drive system, the fully selectable system for the LTD embraces a variety of driving modes, including 2H, 4H, Snow, Mud, Sand and 4L. The offroad systems include the Cross-Country Expert Mode and Drive Mode Memory, linking to both front and rear differential locks.
