Suzuki Auto South Africa had an exceptional beginning to 2024, exceeding all prior sales benchmarks. The brand welcomed 5,235 new customers in January, marking its highest monthly sales ever and securing the third position in the overall market.

Suzuki set a new dealer sales record by selling 4,481 vehicles through its network, positioning it as the second-highest contributor to retail network sales. Over 85% of Suzuki’s new vehicle sales were conducted through its dealer network, reflecting a focus on small businesses and individual customers.

Henno Havenga, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa, expressed gratitude for the continuous support, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to customer service. He highlighted Suzuki’s growth, surpassing 460% from 2017 to 2023, with numerous sales milestones achieved over the years.

In January, the Suzuki Swift led the sales charts with 1,566 units sold, securing its place among the top passenger vehicles in South Africa. Other top-performing models included the Suzuki Baleno, Ertiga, Jimny, and S-Presso.

Havenga concluded, “While celebrating every sale, we use these milestones to gauge our company strategy. Our focus on customer service remains unwavering.”

This remarkable achievement reinforces Suzuki’s position as a growing force in the South African automotive market.
