Audi’s ninth-generation business sedan has finally been unveiled. The new A6 Sedan (code-named C9) introduces a host of technological advancements in safety, advanced driver assistance systems, and powertrains. It also boasts an elegant and dynamic exterior with 11 colour options and a modern interior packed with the latest features.

    Exterior Design and Styling

The exterior design of the new A6 Sedan blends elegance with sportiness. Highlights include a wide, signature Audi single-frame grille, aggressive full-LED headlights, and daytime running lights (digital LED daytime running lights and Matrix LED headlights are optional extras), along with a sporty lower front bumper featuring functional air inlets.

In profile, the new A6 Sedan features flush door handles and measures 4.99 metres in length—making it 60 millimetres longer than the previous model. It comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, while customers can opt for larger, 21-inch forged wheels with a tri-colour design.

The rear design mirrors the aggression of the front. Notable features include slim, animated taillights with OLED 2.0 lighting technology, an LED light strip, and rectangular exhaust tips. Customers can choose from eleven colours for the A6, including the solid finish Arkona White. Metallic finishes include Glacier White, Mythos Black, and Chronos Gray. Other available colours are Grenadine Red, Florett Silver, Firmament Blue, and Madeira Brown. New additions include Midnight Green, Ascaris Blue Metallic, and Daytona Gray—the latter two available exclusively for models with the S line exterior. The “Edition One” is a sporty, one-year limited special model available in Madeira Brown, paired with a black exterior package and 21-inch wheels.

    Interior Design and Technology

Inside, Audi’s new business sedan features a modern design similar to the new A6 Avant and other recent Audi models like the A5 and Q5. Interior highlights include a multifunctional steering wheel, an 11.9-inch digital cockpit, a configurable head-up display, and a 14.5-inch touchscreen running Audi’s new MMI infotainment system powered by Android Automotive OS. This system also features ChatGPT integration and supports OTA updates. An optional 10.9-inch passenger display is also available.

Other standout features include optional premium sound systems from Bang & Olufsen, with either 16 or 20 speakers, a high-efficiency amplifier, and a subwoofer offering 685 or 810 watts, respectively. Additional options include a four-zone automatic climate control system, 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, and a boot capacity of 492 litres.

    Driver Assistance Systems

The new Audi A6 Sedan comes equipped with numerous modern driver assistance systems as standard. The “Driving and Parking” assistance package includes adaptive cruise control, a speed limiter that responds to traffic signs, traffic sign recognition, a rear-view camera, and Park Assist Plus. Other standard features include distance display, lane departure warning, cross-traffic assist, swerve assist, front turn assist, and an emergency brake assistant. Customers can also choose from additional optional driver assistance packages.

    Powertrains

At launch, the new A6 Sedan will be available with three engine options: two petrol and one diesel. Two of the three engines feature mild hybrid technology (MHEV Plus), making them partially electrified. With MHEV Plus, the powertrain generator produces up to 230 Nm of additional torque and 18 kW of power.

The entry-level 2.0 TFSI is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 150 kW and 340 Nm of torque. It comes standard with a start-stop system to reduce fuel consumption and is available with front-wheel drive only. It’s paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Audi claims it can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h.

The 2.0 TDI diesel variant delivers the same power (150 kW) but produces more torque—400 Nm. It is available with a dual-clutch transmission in both front-wheel drive and quattro ultra all-wheel-drive configurations. It can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and has a top speed of 241 km/h.

The top-of-the-range 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged engine delivers 270 kW and 550 Nm of torque. This powerful V6 propels the car from 0–100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Mechanical highlights include an integrated brake control system (iBRS), progressive steering, optional all-wheel steering with up to five degrees of rear-wheel steering, brake torque vectoring, the quattro ultra all-wheel-drive system, and an optional adaptive air suspension with adjustable damping on all four wheels.
