Mercedes-Benz South Africa has introduced the new CLA Night Edition, adding a darker, more focused look to the brand’s compact four-door coupé lineup.
The CLA Night Edition is finished in MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey, an exclusive colour that highlights the model’s low-slung proportions and flowing silhouette. As the most aerodynamic model in the compact Mercedes-Benz range, the CLA’s design places emphasis on clean lines and a sporty stance. Standard AMG-Line body styling forms part of the package, including the forward-sloping front end and a rear apron with a diffuser-style design.

Visual differentiation comes from the Night Package, which is fitted as standard. This adds gloss-black exterior elements such as the mirror housings and window trim, complementing the star-pattern radiator grille. The Night Edition also rides on exclusive AMG alloy wheels that are unique to this derivative.
Inside, the cabin follows a modern, digital-focused layout. The dashboard is dominated by a widescreen setup consisting of a 10.25-inch central touchscreen running the latest MBUX infotainment system. A compact Nappa leather steering wheel and standard sports seats reinforce the sporty character, while turbine-style air vents and 64-colour ambient lighting add to the cabin atmosphere.

Power comes from the CLA 200 powertrain, producing 120 kW and 270 Nm of torque. The engine is supported by 48V mild-hybrid technology, designed to improve efficiency and deliver smoother operation in everyday driving.
Standard specification on the Night Edition includes LED High Performance headlamps with Adaptive High Beam Assist, as well as the Mirror Package, simplifying the option structure while retaining key convenience features.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Night Edition is priced from R958,418, and comes with a five-year or 100,000 km service and maintenance plan.
