Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa has confirmed an expansion of its Everest range with the introduction of the Ford Everest Tremor. Sales are expected to commence in Q4 2026.
The Tremor is a specialised, adventure-focused, off-road-capable variant positioned below the Wildtrak and Platinum models, offering a more hardcore off-road alternative to the Sport and XLT derivatives.

The rugged yet refined Everest Tremor shares the same core off-road philosophy as its Ranger counterpart. Key features include 17-inch General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tyres, heavy-duty side steps, a steel bash plate, a distinctive black honeycomb grille with auxiliary LED lights, and a Rock Crawl driving mode exclusive to the Everest Tremor.
Although both models share the Tremor philosophy and underpinnings, the Ranger Tremor uses a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine, while the Everest Tremor is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine producing 184kW and 600Nm of torque. The SUV also offers a maximum towing capacity of 3,500kg.

Inside, the cabin combines durability with comfort through bespoke leather-accented seats finished in Ebony, featuring the “TREMOR” logo embossed on the front backrests. Medium-dark stitching, along with grey and ebony interior accents, further enhances the premium feel, while all-weather rubber floor mats come standard.
Cabin technology includes a portrait-style 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a wireless charging pad and an eight-speaker audio system as standard.
While Ford South Africa has yet to confirm local specifications or pricing, additional details for the Ford Everest Tremor are expected to be announced closer to its Q4 2026 launch.
