Nissan has officially unveiled the all-new Tekton SUV during its world premiere in India, marking an important step in the brand’s global growth plans and highlighting India’s increasing importance in Nissan’s future strategy.

The Tekton has been developed and will be manufactured in India in partnership with Renault. Nissan has confirmed that the new model will be exported to around 50 countries across the Middle East and Africa.

Positioned in the highly competitive C-SUV segment, the Tekton has been designed with a bold exterior inspired by the iconic Nissan Patrol.

Inside, buyers can expect a spacious cabin with a range of features aimed at improving comfort and convenience. Highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a large luggage compartment.

Technology is another key focus for the Tekton. The SUV comes equipped with Google built-in, including Google Maps, Google Assistant, and access to Google Play, alongside a digital cockpit and connected vehicle services.

Under the bonnet, the Tekton will offer a choice of turbocharged petrol engines. Buyers will be able to choose between a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a more powerful 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine producing up to 163PS and 280Nm of torque.

Safety has also been prioritised, with the SUV featuring six airbags and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems. Available technologies include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and blind spot warning.
