LDV South Africa has expanded its commercial vehicle line-up with the introduction of the T60 Utility Single Cab, priced from R299,900.

Positioned as the brand’s new entry-level commercial model, the T60 is aimed at businesses and operators in sectors such as agriculture, construction, mining, security and municipal services. It is available with either 4×2 or 4×4 drive.

    Turbo-diesel power

The T60 Utility Single Cab is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 120 kW and 410 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

It offers a payload of up to 1,170 kg and a 3,000 kg braked towing capacity. A 73-litre fuel tank is fitted, while claimed fuel consumption is 7.5 L/100km on the highway and 8.7 L/100km in urban conditions.

The 4×4 model also features a differential lock for improved traction on challenging surfaces.

    Practical and well equipped

Measuring 5,395 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,830 mm high, the T60 has a wheelbase of 3,155 mm. Despite its work-focused purpose, the cabin includes air conditioning, a Bluetooth-enabled radio and selectable Eco, Power and Normal driving modes.

Safety equipment includes driver and front passenger airbags, ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), along with hydraulic power steering, a high-mounted brake light and rear fog lamp.

    Expanding LDV’s local line-up

The T60 Utility Single Cab forms part of LDV’s expanding South African range. The brand entered the local market in 2024 and currently offers models including the T60 Double Cab, Terron 9, D90, Deliver 9 and G10.

“The introduction of the T60 Utility Single Cab marks another important milestone in our South African journey, reinforcing our focus on delivering hardworking commercial and lifestyle vehicles designed to meet the needs of our growing customer base,” says Gerhard Moolman, CEO of LDV South Africa.

With its 1,170 kg payload, 3,000 kg towing capacity and choice of 4×2 or 4×4, the T60 Utility Single Cab gives LDV another option in South Africa’s competitive commercial vehicle market.
